Anyways, though I don't have the time to fully post it right now, the rough I have in the works in the moment is HS Torso and Head with HS Gamma Armor, mounting two HS Gamma DA:0 active shields. Armanent is a WA:0 20k disrupter sword on a torso weapon mount and a four round 12k missile launcher in the head holding WA:-2 BLAST10 smoke/scatter munitions lasting for 6 rounds each. Movement is accomplished by a MA10 Gravitic system. MV is at -2, and of course an ASP is tucked in there. Originally, I tried to tuck in a Level 10 ECCM/Sensor Mask System with an IA to run it but was at 188 or so points before the IA, there was alot of places to trim, and it seemed to unbalance the design. I haven't yet tried to compute the costs with the shields vs the ECM (which are the same cost, 45cp), but I figure that I will come out ahead as I will save 50% on space efficiency for the system and only gain 5tons and not have to worry about an IA. By launching a smoke missile in the middle of the arena, I should be able to plunge the whole thing into darkness, then only having to worry about ASP equipped units with non-beam weapons (as the scatter effect will make beam weapons of 20k or less pretty useless against my armor). the four rounds should keep this up for at least 20 turns. The Disrupter will be able penetrate any 1/1 scale defenses and will be able to parry melee attacks if the shields are trashed. The MA 10 will allow me to reach any point in the arena if I center myself in the middle first, hence those even faster than I will not escape melee combat. It is a sad fact that I have found that it is actually cheaper to use fewer servos and more space efficiency than vice versa. A humanoid kung fu mech would have been fun, but essentially too expensive, even if you hollow the servos, as you still have that many more areas to armor (and good, worthwhile armor is expensive). ... So there I am, essentially a small highly manuverable ball zipping around in the dark slashing junk up.
